Spiral in its card form appears to resemble an endless spiralling array of blue tablets with black circles between each segment. In the anime, it took the form of a giant blue double-stranded spring with a circle pattern.

Synopsis[]

Create[]

In the manga, Spiral appeared in the middle of the picnic Sakura was having with Syaoran, manifesting from Sakura's thought that "it would be nice if that moment lasted forever". Sakura tries to secure it, but the card separates her from Syaoran and locks her up. Syaoran tries to free her with his wind magic, but failing, he is forced to summon The Windy to get Sakura out so she can secure the card.[1]

In the anime, Spiral appears in Tomoeda's aquarium, manifesting from Sakura's memories of capturing The Watery. In the end, Syaoran manages to use his new ice magic to immobilize Spiral so she can secure it.[2]

Examine Use[]

Sakura uses Spiral in Chapter 17 to secure Appear. In Chapter 38, Sakura uses Spiral against Shade, but the card is unaffected by its immaterial nature.

In the anime, Sakura uses Spiral in Episode 17 to trap the creature created by the Appear card. Later she uses Spiral in Episode 22 to defend against the cloaked figure's fire attacks.

Magical Abilities[]

Imprison Inducement: Spiral can create an array of tablets that towers around the target, trapping them in an endless spiral. It also takes the form of a giant spring vortex that is capable of separating into simple strands and then assembling into a helix to compress its target in a net.

Vortex formation: In its spring form, it is capable of creating a tornado while on air and generating whirlpools or waves underwater to entrap its target.
